Mimi's career did not begin on a job site. It began behind a design board — three decades of leading high-end residential design, owning a retail floor covering store, and running Heritage Custom Cabinets, a custom millwork shop in Dinwiddie County, Virginia.
Then, in 2010, she did something most designers never do — she earned her Class A Contractor license from the Virginia DPOR. Suddenly the woman who knew exactly what a finished room should feel like also held the authority to build it from the foundation up.
Today she leads her own in-house team — not a roster of subcontractors juggled by phone, but tradespeople who have built alongside her for years.
